The White Lion is a friendly, relaxing public house enjoyed by all walks of people. For the sports fan, we have a brand new wide angle screen projector - especially for the rugby/football matches!

Inside the lounge is a pool table, juke box and log fire, all of which can be enjoyed whilst sampling some of the finest ales and spirits at our classic, friendly bar. We have regular entertainment for our customers, including our infamous karaoke on Monday nights!

In the hotter months a nice cold drink can be enjoyed outside in our private beer garden, situated in between the Oast House Lodge and The White Lion.

Pub Watch

We are participants of the Llantwit Major Pub Watch scheme. This scheme details that any person found acting in an undesirable manner, or using drugs, on the premises of any public house in or around Llantwit Major is banned from all of the pubs supporting the scheme. The system has been designed to ensure that no unwanted behavior occurs in Llantwit Major.

All of the public houses in Llantwit Major support this scheme as well as The Boverton Castle in Boverton and The Carpenters Arms in St. Athan.

When a person is banned from a public house, the police are informed and the person banned will receive a letter of enforcement. Weekly meetings are held, and constant communications maintained between all of the supporters, assuring that no trouble makers gain entry to our public houses.
