Llantwit Major is an historic Town with much more to it than meets the eye. Whether you are looking to stay somewhere that has peaceful country walks, good surf, friendly shops, quaint tearooms or links to bigger cities without the hussle and bussle, Llantwit Major can offer it all to you.

Inside the Town you will find a variety of shops, from the popular Elaine's Tearooms on Commercial Street to Somefield on the Precinct. There are also takeaways, public houses (not forgetting our very own White Lion of course!), bakerys, shoe shops, clothes shops, newsagents and a florist . If this doesn't provide enough shopping for you we are just 5 minutes walk from the Llantwit Major Train Station, recently adopted by the local Chamber of Trade and Commerce. Trains run in both directions to Bridgend and Cardiff, both of which are the ultimate havens for shoppers!

Every year Llantwit Major hosts the Victorian Fair, which sees thousands of people from near and far hurry to the Town to enjoy one of our longest celebrated events. Although not essential, many people dress in Victorian costume and spend the entire day browsing the many stalls, sampling food and drink and enjoyng the themed events laid on by the organisers. This takes place around the middle of June, so be warned now - book early whilst we have rooms available!

There is so much to do, so much to learn and so much to see in Llantwit Major that we even have our very own community website! We recommend that you take a visit to the main Llantwit Major website www.llantwit-major.net to learn more.

If you have any questions about the area; what there is to do, where there is to go, where to eat etc that aren't answered on the Llantwit Major website, please contact us and we will try our very best to help.
